OREANDA-NEWS. February 5, 2008. In 2008, according to the Development Strategy for TGK-2, design work will start to build combined-cycle plants for the augmentation of Novgorodskaya CHP plant, Tverskaya CHP-3, Kostromskaya CHP-2, Yaroslavskaya CHP-2. Engineering company SibCOTES, a member of E4 Group, will prepare the Feasibility Studies and working documentation for building four combined-cycle plants. This Novosibirsk Company, with its subsidiaries in 5 Russian cities and Kazakhstan, was awarded the contract for this work after the tendering procedure in November 2007.

All four projects aim at expanding CHP plants with gas-turbine installation GTE-160 with a heat-recovery steam generator, which will be added to existing turbine PT-60-130/13.

Contracts for design work have already been signed. According to Evgeny Evtushenko, Chief Project Engineer, the specialists from SibCOTES have already started their design work, and the first Feasibility Study for Novgorodskaya CHP plant will be completed by May 2008.
