OREANDA-NEWS. February 8, 2008. In accordance with the Resolutions of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, KamAZ FTC Corp. is to deliver 655 road building machines and motor vehicles to Turkmenistan to the total sum of over US$ 47 million to replenish the fleet of the Ministry of Construction and Construction Materials Industry and the Turkmenawtoyollary State Concern in the nearest future.

The pace of construction activities expanded throughout Turkmenistan with every passing year and the need in modernizing the existing fleet stipulate for purchasing the large consignments of high-powered machinery. The tasks set forth in the National Programme of the President of Turkmenistan on improvement of the social and living conditions in villages, settlements, towns in etraps and etrap centres till 2020 include expansion of the construction activities. Equipment to be delivered to Turkmenistan under the contracts includes truck tractors, dump trucks, truck cranes, cement and panel trucks, special motor vehicles and spare parts.

According to the Ministry of Construction and Construction Materials Industry, 322 machines will be supplied to the construction subdivisions in the regions and Ashgabat and engaged in implementing the development programmes. The project on modernization of the national construction industry stipulates for purchasing one more large consignment of road building machines and motor vehicles in 2008.

The Turkmenawtoyollary State Concern has gained the positive experience of cooperating with the Russian automakers. In 2006, 600 KamAZ dump trucks were delivered to Turkmenistan for Turkmen road builders. 333 road building machines will be engaged in building the highways Turkmenbashi-Farab and Ashkhabat-Karakum-Dashoguz.
