OREANDA-NEWS.  On Feb 12 Minister of Natural Resources of Russia Yuri Trutnev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of South African Republic Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma will discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the fields of peaceful use of nuclear energy and space research.

The sides will also discuss the activities of the Russia-SAR Business Council, the preparations for the signing of bilateral agreements in the fields of mutual concern as well as the agenda of the next meeting of the combined inter-governmental committee on trade-economic cooperation between Russia and SAR. The meeting is scheduled for May 2008.

The Russian side will be represented by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, Rosatom, Roskosmos, Renova, Foreign Ministry of Russia; the South African side – by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

To remind, Trutnev and Dlamini-Zuma are the co-chairs of the combined inter-governmental committee on trade-economic cooperation.
