OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 February 2008 was announced, that within creation of the Ural armored holding the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant purchased the 100% shares of the Ishimbay Engineering Company "Vitiaz", a single Russian manufacturer of the all-terrain and land armored personnel carriers.

The agreement was approved at the high governmental level. During the meeting with the General Director of ChTZ Valery Platonov and with the General Director of Uralvagonzavod Nikolay Malykh held in connection with the agreement signing, the President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov expressed his confidence that the Company would develop more dynamically if being a part of the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant. The local machine builders have some difficulties: a part of the plant is under the committee bankruptcy. Therefore in "Vitiaz" they do not conceal joy that they have got a powerful locomotive in this new owner able to help the Company out to the new development round.

The "Vitiaz" affiliation to "ChTZ-Uraltrac" Ltd as a subsidiary production unit was appreciated by the leading mass medias of the neighboring republic. The Information Agency "Bashinform" covered this event in a feature where the account of V.Platonov concerning the projects on this affiliated undertaking development, which was considered, is cited. He emphasized that the enterprise specialization would be kept (production of two-linked armored personnel carriers being in demand). It is planned to invest into the re-equipment of "Vitiaz" and to deploy new shops. Particularly, the units and the complete parts for the ChTZ machinery will be produced. Murtaza Rakhimov and the heads of the Ural Engineering Companies gave careful consideration to the questions of production in Ishimbay of the complete parts for a new wheel tractor "Tolpar".
