OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 February 2008 was announced, that the retail loan book of Promsvyazbank increased by more than 2.4 times in 2007, reaching RUR 29.6 billion as of 1 January 2008. The number of borrowers grew by 2.2 times, to over 100,000.

Retail deposits reached RUB 34.7 billion. This represents an increase of 57% over the beginning of 2007, well above the average market growth in Russia. As of 1 January 2008, the number of retail depositors exceeded 194,000.

The Bank’s retail loan book is comprised of consumer loans, car finance, mortgages and credit card loans. The bulk of the portfolio (about 60%) are classic consumer loans. At the year-end 2007, the number of such loans was approximately 80,000, with a total amount of RUB 17.8 billion. Car loans were second-largest item, which made up 32% of retail loans. At the year-end 2007, the number of outstanding car loans exceeded 17,500, with an aggregated amount of RUB 9.6 billion.

In H2 2007, PSB began issuing credit cards with grace period and cash-back feature. As of 1 January 2008, more than 12,000 such cards were issued. As of today, the total amount of credit card loans exceeds RUB 380 million.

The number of debit cards issued by PSB in 2007 topped 190,000, an increase of 60% from the beginning of the year. At the year-end 2007, the total number of cards issued by PSB, including credit cards, was 440,000.

In 2007, PSB opened more than 30 offices for servicing individual clients; their total number throughout Russia now exceeds 160. The number of ATMs was increased by 39%; currently, the Bank’s ATM network encompasses 706 machines.

Last year, a new Internet banking system for individual clients, called PSB-Retail, was implemented in all offices of the Bank in Moscow and the surrounding region. New functionality also includes the ability of transferring funds from one card to another, and loan repayment through ATMs.
