OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2008.  Turkmenistan and Tatarstan started realizing their protocol of intentions regarding KAMAZ automotive equipment deliveries in 2008.

The government executives of both republics signed the protocol on 14 January 2008. The document stipulates that the ministries and enterprises of Turkmenistan will purchase 2549 vehicles in total. It would give them a chance for the Central Asian country to be among the top three importers of KAMAZ.

Burbangula Berdymukhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, signed a decree which provides for conclusion of the first two contracts within the aforementioned protocol. In accordance with them, the government concern “Turkmen Avtoyollary” will receive 333 units of KAMAZ road-building equipment and spare parts for them to the sum of $23,9 million. 322 KAMAZ vehicles will be delivered to the amount of $23,5 million for the Ministry of Building and Building Materials of Turkmenistan.
