OREANDA-NEWS. March 5, 2008. In 2008 Atomenergoprom OJSC is planning to invest almost 300mln EUR in nuclear equipment production assets in Russia and abroad, the deputy director general of the company Kirill Komarov said in an interview to Czech journalists.

The head of the PR and Mass Media Department of Atomenergoprom Ivan Dybov quotes Komarov as saying that Atomenergoprom’s subsidiary, Atomenergomash, whose mission is to consolidate nuclear equipment producers, will buy assets in Russia and abroad and invest money in their development.

Komarov said that Atomenergomash was going to increase its share in Arako spol. s.r.o. from 51% to 100%.

On Mar 4 Komarov made a report at the 75th Energy Forum in Prague.

He told the audience about the present reforms in the nuclear industry of Russia and about the prospects of Russia’s cooperation with Czech companies in the fields of nuclear fuel cycle, uranium mining, NPP construction and production of equipment of NPPs.

“For a long time our nuclear industry was closed. Today, we are trying to make it open and transparent. The mission of Atomenergoprom is to ensure transparency, cooperation and integration with foreign partners on a very wide range of problems,” Komarov said.
