OREANDA-NEWS.  On 12 March 2008 Tetra Pak, a world leader in food processing and packaging solutions, announced that it has certified its 1000th customer operator in a program designed to maximize equipment performance and production results. Four operators at Nidan Juices, one of Russia’s top four producers of juices and nectars, shared the distinction of becoming the 1,000th operator certified globally. 

Operator Certification is a Tetra Pak service product designed to help customers increase productivity and reduce their operating costs by ensuring that filling equipment operators have the required skills to run Tetra Pak machines in the safest and most effective way. Certification provides a comprehensive evaluation of operators’ competence, including an online theoretical test and an onsite practical skills assessment under the supervision of Tetra Pak experts.

Andrey Yanovsky, General Manager of Nidan Juices, said: “Tetra Pak filling equipment is easy and safe to operate. Operator Certification will help us further increase our productivity and achieve the highest possible quality, in line with company standards. Since 2005, when Tetra Pak launched this service product, more than 170 of the world’s leading liquid food producers have completed the certification process.

Operator Certification has so far been implemented in 63 markets, and the company plans to continue expanding to meet customer needs. Among the many benefits of this service product are higher and more consistent product quality, increased efficiency, improved safety, and fewer and shorter stops. It also proactively verifies that operators have the right competence to operate a machine system to meet quality requirements in ISO, HACCP and GMP.*
