OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2008. The European Union's Council of agriculture and fisheries has approved the draft agreement with Ukraine on exchange of letters to lift export duties following the creation of a free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU.

Ukraine undertook the commitment to seriously reduce duties on scrap metal, hides, livestock and sunflower seeds for the period of from five to eight years. Meanwhile, the reduced duties will be applied from the moment of obtaining membership in the World Trade Organization.
