OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2008. Abolishment of antidumping measures for imports of the Ukrainian carbamide by the European Union was considered by the Economics Ministry as its victory too. A statement of the Economics Ministry press service notes that the Ukrainian enterprises and the Ministry actively participated in reviewing advisability of further restrictions for imports of the carbamide from Belarus, Libya, Croatia and Ukraine, started by the European Commission in December 2006, and the Ministry could present the necessary argumentation to the EC about absence of threats from such imports to the EU industry.

According to Economics Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn, the Ministry will continue work to ensure further access for the Ukrainian chemical fertilizers to the EU market. In particular, for the ammonium nitrate and carbamide-ammoniac mixture, remaining under effect of anti-damping measures now.
