OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2008. Ukraine's interagency working group will embark on negotiations with Romania next week as regards compensations for the construction of the Kryvyi Rih Oxidized Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise, Minister of Industrial Policy Volodymyr Novytskyi said.

More than USD 1.6 bn was invested into the plant's construction, 56.4 percent of them by Ukraine, before Romania and Slovakia pulled out of it and are now claiming compensations for 28 and 15.6 percent of the investments respectively.

"We need to know if our partners want to be reimbursed in cash as was stated before. When that is established, we will continue talks with Slovakia," Minister Novytsky said.
