OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2008. Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee moderated at the Gazprom Headquarters a joint meeting of the Gazprom Emergencies Response & Fire Safety Commission and Civil Defense Board.

Attending the meeting were members of the Commission and the Board, invited heads and experts of Gazprom’s core business units and subsidiaries.

The meeting addressed issues surrounding further improvement of the industrial, fire and environmental safety system as well as surrounding fire protection of the Company’s workforce and property in emergencies.

The parties also discussed the implementation of comprehensive activities aimed at preventing third-party access to pipeline systems of Gazprom’s subsidiaries.

At the beginning of the meeting Alexander Ananenkov awarded merit certificates and expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Industry and Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation to Gazprom’s specialists for a contribution to improving the corporate civil defense system and a considerable personal contribution to developing the fuel and energy complex.

Based on the meeting results Gazprom’s core business units received pertinent tasks.
