OREANDA-NEWS. April 4, 2008. Relations with the US and EU will normalize, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview to the Vietnamese media.

“We do not want to run afoul of anyone: neither of the East, nor of the West. I think that the relations with the Americans and the EU will be normalized”, the Belarusian head of state underlined.

He noted that “efforts are made to drive Belarus into a corner. Those efforts are futile. We will find markets for our products”, the President stated.

The head of state thinks that without the interference from outside, the Belarusian economy would develop even faster.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that despite minor disagreements Belarus will establish normal relations with all the countries. “I do not think there are any problems in the relations between Belarus and the rest of the world”, the President underlined.
