OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 April 2008 was announced, that a second day of one of the VII Siberian forum “Education” sections has been held in Tomsk’s state industrial-humanities college which closely cooperates with “Transneft” in part of manpower training.

About 40 principals of the elementary and specialized secondary schools came to Tomsk from the Siberian federal district to share experience in realization of the national educational project. A program announced as a master class has outgrew in a discussion of the urgent questions of the elementary and secondary specialized education.

“Tomsk region has taken a track of creation of the resource centers on the basis of the educational institutions under the public private partnership (PPP) agreements”, - V. Zinchenko, Deputy region governor said. “Career development and further training of teachers and masters on the basis of the innovative high technologies, re-equipment of the material and technical infrastructure of the educational institutions are at the bottom of the quality improvement”. According to the governor at present there are five resource centers established, eight more are under formation.

Quoted as V. Zinchenko saying that the corporate education project based on the Tomsk’s industrial-humanities college is a basic model for development of the resource centers. College trains and retrains specialists who build the “East Siberia – Pacific Ocean” oil pipeline as well as the engineers who will operate the pipeline.

Victor German, Director for the college has given a tour showing a successful cooperation of an educational institution with a social partner. The discussers have particularly noted that the Tomsk’s state industrial-humanity college was a vivid example for a successful cooperation of the educational institution and the company highly responsible with its HR policy. Due to the substantial financial backing provided by the Oil Transporting JSC “Transneft” and by support of the teaching practices the college has transformed to the top vocational school training the specialists desirable by the pipeline industry.

Forum participants have shown a special interest to a psychological part of the academic activity financed by JSC “Tsentrsibnefteprovod”, “Transneft’s” affiliate located in Tomsk. One of the today’s key points noted by a number of Siberian teachers is a problem of students’ adaptation to training and their physiological base for further work. Experience of how to solve problem by means of the oil transporting company in Tomsk’s college can be applied all over the Siberian region.

There are agreements between the educational institutions and the leading companies prepared in Tomsk region on the model of cooperation with “Transneft”, as informed at the forum. Preparation of the regional regulatory system has been commenced to give preferences to the basic partner companies.
