OREANDA-NEWS. On April 10, 2008 Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (Astana), securities of which are traded in the official list of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) of category "A", provided KASE with the press release which informs as follows, reported the press-centre of KASE:

Within the framework of the visit of the Government delegation headed by the Prime-Minister of RK, K. Masimov to People's Republic of China, the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC made an Agreement with EximBank of China on extension of credit facility in the amount of \\$300 m. In the presence of the heads of the governments of the two countries the Agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Development Bank of Kazakhstan Mukan Sagindykov and the Chairman of Eximbank of China Li Zhougu.

"Signing of this agreement is a continuation of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan course to funding base diversification and access to Asian capital markets in conditions of continuing liquidity crisis in the West. Beneficial terms of this facility allow financing projects for up to 20 years, and, first of all, this regards infrastructure and industry related projects. We have got a great demand for such investments and we will ensure the growth of their financing".

This is the second credit facility, concluded with a big bank of China this year. In February the Development Bank of Kazakhstan made credit facility agreements with State Development Bank of China in the amount of \\$100 m. for financing of long-term infrastructure projects in energetics, transport and communication, chemistry and petrochemistry, and metallurgy. According to agreements with Chinese partners the volume of credit facilities will be increased according to their development.
