OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2008 was announced, that an automated information and measuring system for electric power commercial record keeping has been put into pilot operation at Serovski Ferrous Alloys Plant in Sverdlovsk Region.  It allows for record-keeping of electric power purchased by industrial enterprises in electric power wholesale and retail markets on a real-time basis and ensures material economy of funds for power consumers.

The automated system project was implemented by ENECO, a specialized energy company of ITERA. ENECO implemented the project at its own expense jointly with Elster-Metronica, one of metrological equipment leader-producers, in close cooperation with Sverdlovskaya energogazovaya Kompaniya (Sverdlovsk Energy Gas Company), a regional energy retail supplier, in which 51 per cent shareholding is owned by the Government of Sverdlovsk Region, and 49 per cent shareholding is owned by companies of ITERA Group.

The ENECO pilot project at Serovski Ferrous Alloys Plant received appreciation and support on the part of the Sverdlovsk Region leaders. A long-term plan within the framework of the Memorandum on Cooperation in Implementing Energy-related Projects (signed on 14 December, 2007, by the Government of the Region, Vnesheconombank, ITERA Oil and Gas, LLC and ENECO) is to carry out a large-scale implementation of automated information and measuring systems for electric power commercial record keeping at industrial and municipal enterprises of the region.
