OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 April 2008 was announced, that shipbuilders became the first in regional competitions in mountain skis and snowboard.

Arkhangelsk region open championship in Alpine skiing and snowboard took place in Pinega district. Sevmash team competed with teams from Pinega, Severodvinsk, and Arkhangelsk.

Sevmash sportsmen show their skills in these sports not for the first time. Director General Nikolay Kalistratov supports activities on improving health and increasing skills of enterprise workers. Enterprise administration assists our team to go to competitions.

Representatives of enterprise became winners in all age groups. During two days of competitions sportsmen received 11 prizes. Team competitions gave our team the first place and it was awarded with goblet and diploma of Arkhangelsk region Sport and Physical culture committee.

In Russia alpine skiing and snowboard have gained popularity. At present time it is deiced to build mountain routes in Sevmash training center.
