OREANDA-NEWS. The one-person exhibition of Viktor Barabantsev, a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, will be open in the Gomel Vashenko-Art Gallery on April 23. The paintings are dedicated to Chernobyl disaster. They were created directly in the affected regions, where the artist had spent a lot of time.

Viktor Barabantsev was born in Gomel. His works are kept in stocks of the National Art Gallery of Belarus, the Belarusian Union of Artists, and the museum of modern art and other cultural establishments. Viktor Barabantsev stands out amid Belarusian artists as master of monumental painting, who continues traditions of the Belarusian realistic art school.

On April 23, the Art Gallery will host an exhibition “Sketches of military history” by Boris Kupchinov.
