OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 April 2008 was announced, that as May holidays are approaching, many Russians will go on vacation. It is expected that passenger traffic of Moscow International Airport Domodedovo during May holidays will exceed the same period of the last year by up to 20% and will total 975,000 passengers.

The airport will welcome 365,000 passengers traveling internationally and 615,000 domestic passengers; around 9,700 flights will be handled (that is a 19% rise over 2007), including more than 3,500 flights beyond Russia and CIS (that is a 25% rise over 2007).

Following Domodedovo’s policy charter flights continuously transform to regular services. Thus, during May holidays 820,000 regular services will be performed as opposed to 155,000 charter flights.

The airport partner airlines will be flying to traditionally popular resorts in Turkey, Egypt, Spain, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Montenegro etc.

Moreover this season features flights to resorts in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, UAE and Dominican Republic previously known as only “winter getaways”.
