OREANDA-NEWS. April 30, 2008. For the current year JSC "KTK" has planned the overhaul and reconstruction of 13,709 l.m. of the trunk and intra-quarter heat lines using pipes in the foam polyurethane (FPU) insulation as well as construction of intra-quarter heat lines of length 1,693 l.m. for the social newly-built houses. New technologies will be used in reconstruction of aged pipes of hot water supply and they will be replaced with "timeless" pipes of type "izoproflex" , the 3,485 l. m. of grids of hot water supply. The heating system will be upgraded at Kazan for amount of 372. 6 m. rubles.

Last year were replaced 32,649 l.m. of obsolete pipelines of heating and hot water supply for total amount of 137.5 m. rubles. Using the modern insulation materials were built 2,903 l. m. of heat lines and reconstructed 3,004 l.m. of grids of hot water supply . In total in 2007 were removed 933 damages: 123 on the trunk heat lines and 810 - on intra-quarter lines (after hydraulic tests). Compared to 2006 in 2007 is seen the dynamics of reduction of number of damages on trunk lines, and in intra- quarter grids. Its positive role played the fact that in the last years Kazan Thermal Network Company have conducted hydraulic tests twice a year: after autumn - winter (AWT) and after overhauls before start of the next heating season.

The last year 2007 was for JSC "Kazan Thermal Network Company", the most stressful and complex from the beginning of the company activities which was explained by low tariffs for transportation of heat on Kazan townspeople the restrictions of KTNC did not have effect. The temperature and hydraulic regimes were maintained in accordance with projected schedule. Emergency shutdowns in the heating season in thermal grids JSC "KTNC" and consumer switch-offs were not reported.

The major problem for JSC "Kazan Thermal Network Company" is the big wear of fixed assets. Over the half of pipelines of the grids exceed the normative time limit of operation or reach the critical time limit that constitutes 25 years. So 329. 7 of linear meters of lines are operated over quarter of century, 337.7 l.кm of pipelines - 20 thru 25 years, 166.4 l.кm - 15 thru 20 years. Condition of many parts of trunk lines is critical. This is related to the high level of ground waters in Novo-Savinovski, Moscow, Vahitovski and Kirovski districts which results in fast corrosion of metal of pipes and increase of loss of heat. In the flooded condition are 580,500 l. m. Of lines of heating and hot water supply, practically 50% оf total length of thermal grids. Drainage pumps on the flooded areas of pipelines cannot be the cure as it is not possible to pump out the swamp altogether.

For prevention of "aging" the pipelines at keeping the life of 25 and less, it is necessary to replace 100 km and more of grids per year. Investments are not included in the tariff, established fro the company for 2008.

One of methods of provision of normative term of life of grids today is the use in the overhaul of modern technologies including foam polyurethane for insulating the grids of heat supply and isoproflex for grids of hot water supply. From this year in reconstruction and new construction of thermal grids in KTHC will be used the pipes in FPU insulation with built-in system of remote control (ОRC) produced by "Тatteploizolyatsia, Ltd" - new Tatarstan plant built as part of power cluster.

Although application of advanced energy conservation materials in overhaul results in increased costs of repairs twice, and in reduction of annual volumes of pipe replacement it allows to solve the problem of the thermal network company – loss reduction in grids. In KTNC the actual level today by 200 th. Gcal lower that normative, compared to European states they remain very high and constitute the fourth part of the net heat supply. In 2007 the net heat supply to consumers from grids of JSC "Kazan Thermal Network Company" constituted 5 m. 250 th. Gcal, and losses - 1 m. 507 th. Gcal. Compared to 2006 the losses of heat reduced by 6.9% - 112 th. Gcal. For 2008 the projected figures of heat losses are measured in amount of 1 m. 648 th. Gcal. Management of "Tatenergo " holding thinks the figures inappropriate for modern power engineering and asks to orient at the advanced world expertise.
