OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2008. For a whole week starting from May 14 the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow will be hosting a grandiose event, the Integrated Safety & Security Exhibition (ISSE-2008), with its best pavilions and conference halls to be given for various expositions and business conferences.

The objective of ISSE-2008 is to show the achievements of the national industry and science in the field of national security equipment and technologies and to enlarge business contacts for promoting the best national projects and products on foreign markets.

The “Nuclear and Radiation Safety” exhibition of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation has been organized by Atomexpo OJSC and presents products of 24 companies of the nuclear industry and related sectors. The exhibition covers an area of 300 sq m.

Among the participants are the Crisis Center of Rosatom, the Emergency Center of Rosatom (St.Petersburg), Atomspetstrans, Angarsk Electrolytic Chemical Combine, Mining and Chemical Combine, Aileron, Dedalus, NIIAR, VNIIA, NIIIT, Institute for Physico-Technical Problems, VNIPIET, Isotope (Moscow), Nuclear Safety Institute, ATOMPROF (St.Petersburg), RFNC-VNIIEF, SCICET, Kurchatov Institute.

They will present a wide range of nuclear and radiation safety systems used by nuclear power plants and nuclear fuel producers as well as information about the implementation of the federal target program “Nuclear and Radiation Safety”: projects to build and reconstruct facilities treating radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel; to launch and to enhance the safety of nuclear facilities; to recover territories; to ensure safe transportation of nuclear and radioactive materials; to improve the state nuclear, radiation and ecological control system; to create and develop a unified state automated radiation control system.

The rescue services of the nuclear power industry will display their emergency response and automated systems.

The exhibition will also present projects and technologies in the field of physical protection of nuclear facilities and a wide variety of nuclear and radiation safety and radiation control equipment.

One of the sections will present radiation technologies used in medicine: testing equipment, systems for treating occupational diseases; production of radio-medicines and radio-isotopes; health recovery technologies and centers.

The program of ISSE-2008 includes international specialized exhibitions: “Rescue Equipment,” “Protection Equipment,” “Armament and Ammunition of Special Purpose Forces,” “Fire Security,” “Border Protection Equipment,” “Industrial Safety, Transportation Safety,” “Industry of Russia for the Safety of Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games,” “Information and Communication Security,” “Safety of Mines and Tunnels,” etc..

The business program of ISSE-2008 includes symposium “Security of the State and Its Citizens: Ways for Improvement, Complex Solutions,” the 13th international scientific-practical conference on the protection of people and territories from emergencies, international conference on fire security, thematic conferences, roundtables, seminars, presentations, excursions, “National Security” contest with 10 nominations.

Units of the Emergency Ministry, the Interior Ministry, the Frontier Service of the Federal Security Service and Interior Troops will show their capacities on the specially equipped training ground of Nogino district of Moscow region.

Over 500 exhibitors from 15 countries are taking part in the exhibition with over 30,000 people expected to visit the event.
