OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 May 2008 was announced, that the leader on the Russian beer market and top exporter, Baltika Breweries, has been expanding the geographic reach of its export shipments to Canada. Now Baltika №3 Classicheskoye will be delivered to two additional Canadian provinces: British Columbia and Alberta, which have a combined population of more than 7 million.

Baltika Breweries has been shipping its products to Canada since 2003. Previously Baltika №3 was exported only to one Canadian province, Ontario. Now Baltika №3 in a 0.5-litre glass bottle is already on sale in Canada’s largest chain of alcoholic beverage supermarkets, LCBO. As a result of the geographic expansion of export shipments, the Company’s sales in Canada during Q1 2008 more than doubled compared to the figures for the same period in 2007.

Elena Volgusheva, Sales Manager for the American Region, commented: ‘We are pleased to see that Baltika №3 suits the taste of beer lovers in Canada. In this country with a high standard of living, people have been accustomed to choose only the best and highest quality products. The fact that our №3, or ’troika' as we call it, is sold in the shops of the country's largest retailer is proof of the stable demand for our beer that Baltika has earned through its invariably high quality and excellent taste.’

Baltika №3 Classicheskoye actively conducts business and cultural promotions in Canada. In May, troika was the exclusive beer at the business seminar Global Business Day, which was organised at the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Canada. Baltika Breweries also sponsored the equestrian competition ‘Russian Night at the Races,’ which was arranged by the Russian Federation’s Trade Representation in Canada.
