On 23 May 2008 was announced, that on May 21, at 11:00, Moscow Green Week – 2008, the 5th specialized exhibition of flower seedlings, planting stock of ornamental plants, equipment and associated products for urban and suburban greening was inaugurated at Pavilion #26 of the All-Russia Exhibition Center.

The opening ceremony was attended by Peter Biryukov, First Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow City Government, Leonid Bochin, Head of the Nature Management and Environmental Protection Department, Minister of the Moscow City Government, Andrei Tsibin, Head of the Municipal Affairs, Housing and Landscaping Department of Moscow, Mikhail Bunin, Deputy Director of the Technological Policy and Education Department of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Mohamed Musayev, General Director of OAO “GAO VVC”, Natalia Rudenko, Head of the Natural and Historical Territories Administration of the North-East Administrative District of Moscow, Lyubov Shashkova, General Director and Chief Editor of Floriculture Magazine.

Subsequent to the opening ceremony, there was a briefing arranged for mass media representatives.

The leading domestic and foreign companies majoring in urban greening, production of seedlings, planting stock, goods and services for landscape industry demonstrate their products on the display area of 4000 sq. m. The best flower-growing businesses of the capital headed by Moszelenkhoz Public Unitary Enterprise will display their accomplishments at Moscow Green Week – 2008.


The Exhibition features the following major areas:

• flower seedlings, seeds and planting stock of flowers and ornamental deciduous plants for greening urban, suburban areas, dachas, loggias, balconies;
