OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 May 2008 was announced, that Concorde Capital, in association with GAIA Capital Advisors, is holding the First Ukrainian Agricultural Forum in Kyiv, Ukraine to introduce leading figures in Ukrainian agriculture to foreign investors.

Forum participants include representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, the top executives of Ukrainian, Russian and foreign leading agricultural companies, and management from over 50 of the largest global investment funds.

The event features presentations by leading agricultural companies, including MCB Agricole, Astarta, Land West, and Dakor, as well as discussions of key issues influencing the sector's development, like regulatory policy, prospects & outcomes of further land privatization, and affects related to Ukraine’s accession to the WTO. 

Concorde Capital CEO Igor Mazepa said, “Currently, in spite of the global financial crisis, the local agro-industrial sector is at the height of its popularity among foreign investors. The low cost of Ukrainian agricultural products compared to those in European countries, domestic fertile black soil and the sector's strong growth potential make it even more attractive for investments and promote Ukraine’s image as Europe's breadbasket.”
