Speech of Acting Director General of Electrochemical Plant Sergey Filimonov:

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to thank the management of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation and Atomenergoprom OJSC for their confidence. I perfectly realize what a high responsibility I am assuming.

Quite recently we marked the 45th birthday of our plant. In the past years Electrochemical Plant has developed into a big multi-product company. In the hard 1990s it was the key factor of social stability in our city.

Our plant has always been in the vanguard.

Presently, our industry has grandiose plans and our company has been given a significant role in this program in terms of supply of fuel to Russian and foreign nuclear power plants.

In this light, I would like to outline our key priorities for the near future:

First, we should continue modernizing our separation workshops. This is the basis of our production and social welfare.

Second, we should take an active part in the elaboration and implementation of a program for development of isotope production. Presently, we are participating in the work of a relevant task force. We have really unique experience and high human and industrial capacities in this sphere. So, we can be quite helpful in the matter.

Third, we are planning to fully employ our machine building capacities so as to meet the growing demand in this sphere. Here too we have quite good potential.

The social security of our personnel is our key priority and will actively work to this end.

In order to do all this, we will have to work hard. Each manager, specialist and worker of our plant should understand one simple truth: our social welfare depends on our efficiency.

Professionalism and love for innovation have always been the key qualities of our plant. That’s why I am sure that we will continue striding in the vanguard of our industry.

We are the key plant of our city and our management has always paid and will pay enhanced attention to the social problems of its residents. I am looking forward to fruitful cooperation with the mayor of the city and the municipal authorities under social-economic development programs for the benefit of our people. Our city and plant have always been inseparable.

Dear Colleagues,

I very much hope for your support and I would like to assure you that I will do my best to ensure the dynamic development of our plant. Thank you.
