OREANDA-NEWS. June 7, 2008. Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (MNP Group) and Palmali Group signed a contract for construction of tanker project 19619. Preliminary delivery date of vessel – 4th quarter, 2009.

The Yard has already constructed three tankers project 19619 for Palmali Group. The first tanker “Massaly” was handed over to the customer in September, 2007; the second vessel - "Agdash" – in October, 2007, the third ship “Agsu” – in May, 2008.

Tanker project 19619 is designed for transportation of crude oil and oil products with flash point less than 60°С. It is fitted with twelve cargo tanks (of total capacity 14,770 cub.m) and one slop tank; there are ballast compartments in the double sides and double bottom. The tanker is capable of carrying two types of cargoes in a voyage. Basic characteristics: length – 150 m, width – 17.30 m, depth – 10.5 m, draught – 6.99 m, loaded speed is 10 knots, sea endurance is 20 days. This is the largest vessel in the Caspian Sea, capable of entering any port and put into other seas through Volga-Don Ship Canal without port terminal re-equipment. The tanker is capable of operating in different climatic conditions, in regions of moderate cold marine climate. The design of the tanker was worked out by Engineering Bureau of MNP Group. Class of the vessel - КМ Л1 I I А1 of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. Under the proposal of the customer base design has been essentially changed. The modernized design as much as possible satisfies the requirements of leading oil companies. Design also meets the requirements of the international conventions on safety.

MNP Group incorporates the leading Russian shipyards: Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (Nizhniy Novgorod), Volgograd Shipyard, as well as Sormovskoye Mashinostroeniye (Nizhniy Novgorod) and Volgograd special engineering plant.
