OREANDA-NEWS. June 9, 2008. Led by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee, the Company’s delegation finalized its business trip to the Far East and the Transbaikal region.

Today in Ulan-Ude Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee and Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn, President – Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Buryatia signed a five-year Accord on Gasification of the Republic of Buryatia.

The Accord provides for the development and implementation of the following documents fostering the regional gas sector development:
a gasification investment project;
a energy conservation program;
a program for conversion of motor vehicles and agricultural equipment to gas.

The Investment Project will include, amongst other things, a General Gas Supply and Gasification Scheme for the Republic of Buryatia planned to be developed during 2008-2009 (the Scheme will take into account various scenarios of energy consumption and socioeconomic development in this constituent of the Russian Federation; a business plan for the construction of gasification facilities; a substantiation of the efficiency and sequence of gas supply and distribution facilities construction.
