OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 June 2008 was announced, that 500,000 sq m of housing are to be built in Ramenki township, west Moscow, in 2008-2010, Vladimir Resin, acting city mayor of Moscow, said at a traditional Saturday perambulate through the city building sites on June 14.

Mr Resin added that the first house with the area of 20,000 sq m had been built in the township.

The official noted that an average flat area in the houses under construction in Ramenki was 50 sq m.

The acting city mayor of Moscow also visited Severny township, northeast Moscow.

“We are completing the work in Severny township this year. We think how to put up several additional houses, to build a clinic and to solve some other problems here,” the official said.

“We started to build here three years ago. We are finishing with Severny this year,” Mr Resin added.

According to him, the new tenants have already settled down in Severny township.

The official said that a transport problem in the township was on the way to being solved, including by means of railway.
