OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 June 2008 was announced, that the largest grain processor of Siberia and the Far East OJSC PAVA (www.apkhleb.ru) continues to develop international flour markets. Being acknowledged the Russian leader in flour export in 2007, PAVA actively expands the list of its overseas partners and increases volumes of foreign shipments. In May, 2008 exported products accounted for about 40% of the grain processor's total sales. This figure represents a record high for the company. Over the last month more than 10,000 tons of PAVA products was shipped to overseas countries, which exceeds 5 times the average volume of the current year's sales.

"Our Tender Sales and International Business Department was able to achieve such significant results due to large deliveries within UN World Food Programme", notes Angela Kiseleva, OJSC PAVA Commercial Director. "The company's employees have solid experience of participation in humanitarian programmes of international organizations. In May over 8,000 tonnes of PAVA vitaminized flour was shipped to developing countries - Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and North Korea. In fact, we collaborate with the latter three countries for the first time in the history of PAVA's export sales.

In May, PAVA's export volumes can be compared only to December, 2007, when over 9,000 tons of products was sold overseas. In total, summarizing the 5 months' results of the current year, about 18,000 tons of OJSC PAVA products was shipped to foreign partners, which is more than a double increase compared to the same period last year. The grain processor envisages further development of export and enlargement of sales geography.

"Today our company is known as a reliable and stable partner on the world flour market", says Andrey Ananin, OJSC PAVA Director General. "This year's outlook is to enter into contracts with Japanese trading companies of world-wide reputation that have a network of representative offices on all continents".
