OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 July 2008 was announced, that at the Automotive Spring Workshop of the Chusovoy Steel Works Automotive Spring Facilities (CSW), a part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), they have started to install equipment for their automotive spring painting line. This is one of the largest investment project aimed at modernizing the Automotive Spring Facilities.

The equipment for the CSW automotive spring painting line was supplied by Turkey-based BOYSIS, whose specialists started its installation.

Modern technologies make it possible to paint metal surfaces using the cataphoresis method. Automotive springs are immersed into a bath where water-thinned paint penetrates metal surfaces through the current passage. As a result of such treatment, metal surfaces are provided with durable protection against corrosion and friction. Owing to the use of the cataphoresis method, the operating life of automotive springs is prolonged. The automotive spring production meets Euro 4 Standard.

The automotive spring painting line will be put into operation in four months’ time. The line will be fully automated and will require three operators. The annual capacity of the new equipment will reach about 110,000 tonnes.
