The unveiling ceremony of the monument to eminent Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko was held in Azadliq Avenue.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko attended the event.

Azerbaijan State Choir performed Taras Shevchenko's "Dumi moi, dumi".

The Heads of State made remarks at the ceremony.
