OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2008. Ukraine's inflation amounted to 0,8% in June and 15,5% since the beginning of 2008, the State Statistics Committee reported.

Inflation is significantly decreasing in the country for the third month in a row (3,8% in March, 3,1% in April and 1,3% in May). Inflation in June 2008 decreased by 2,7 times on that seen in June 2007 when consumer prices grew by 2,2%.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said earlier that the level of inflation in June 2008 would be 2,5 times lower than that of June 2007.

The government forecast an inflation growth of 15,9% in 2008.
