OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 July 2008 was announced, that Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has supported IX All-Russia Competition of Student Works Crystal Orange. The competition was instituted in 1998 on the initiative of the Russian Public Relations Association (RPRA) and the Department of International Journalism of the Moscow State University of Foreign relations (MGIOM MID RF) The competition attracts students of 40 regions of Russia and neighboring countries.

Its mission is to form the country’s future intellectual elite. Crystal Orange contributes to building up the public spirit and social involvement of Russian students; it improves the quality of Russian education by creating and implementing new technologies and motivating students to study their future professional areas in depth. The competition is targeted at creating a single uniform communication pool to embrace the whole of the country and the students being trained in public relations.

Ingosstrakh, as part of its educational initiatives, has instituted a contest of term papers and graduation works by Russian students dedicated to the subject of insurance. By doing so, Ingosstrakh aims to create and introduce standards of insurance education and culture in the Russian society. Ingosstrakh also recruits from the participating students for its branches in Russian regions and regional mass insurance departments. The competition has been held since 1997. In 2000, it entered the federal level. From 1997 till 2006 the competition offered 35 grants and 56 testimonials in the amount exceeding USD72k.
