OREANDA-NEWS. On August 04, 2008 Inprom, Russia's leading steel service company has launched plasma- and oxygen-cutting machines for the processing of flat steel at its steel service centers in Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Krasnodar, and Voronezh, reported the press-centre of Inprom.

A high-temperature arc, generated by the equipment is capable of high-precision cutting to make steel products of various geometric forms, including punched forms, with steel not deformed or strengthened during the processing.

As no oxygen scales result from a cut, no further processing or cleaning of steel is needed, thus allowing a customer to reduce production and working hours. If further welding is needed, high quality of a seam is guaranteed.

Plasma-cut products are in high demand within the construction, engineering, ship-building, and automotive industries, etc, allowing customers to get rid of non-core operations and thereby reduce working cycle and costs.

The company has been installing plasma- and oxygen-cutting machines at its branches Bryansk, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, and Saransk. It also plans to equip with this machines its branches Tula and Perm in 4Q08.
