OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 August 2008 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow decided to erect a high-rise building in southeast Moscow within the program New Ring of Moscow scheduled till 2015.

“The construction of a high-rise dwelling house is planned on Verkhnie Polya Street at the expense of the city budget,” a source from Moscow City Hall said.

According to the source, the building will have the area of 178,400 sq m and will be located on a 2.56-ha plot.

Now this area is occupied by the residential buildings set to be demolished, their residents will move to new flats in years to come, the source added.

Besides apartments, the skyscraper will comprise a kindergarten and parking on and under ground level with the total capacity of 1,350 vehicles.

High-rise buildings are also to be erected on Profsoyuznaya Street and at the intersection of Pererva Street and Marshala Golovanova Street in southeast Moscow.
