OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 August 2008 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow are to allocate USD 105 million for rebuilding the capital of South Ossetia destroyed during the combat operations and will refer the builders and all essential architectural engineering to Tskhinvali.

On August 8 the Georgian troops invaded the area of the unrecognized republic South Ossetia and fired at its capital, the town of Tskhinvali.

"From now on we are launching the reconstruction work in Tskhinvali. The relevant decree by Moscow City Mayor has been approved. According to it, \\\\\\$105 million will be allocated from the city budget of Moscow for rebuilding the city,” Sergey Tsoy, spokesman for Moscow City Mayor, said.

According to the official, a large construction team, architectural engineering and special technical equipment for disassembling the demolished buildings are to be referred to South Ossetia.

“Besides, anon we are to build a school in Tskhinvali analogous to the school erected by our builders in Beslan. It will be an earthquake-proof facility,” Mr Tsoy noted.

The spokesman added that the delegation of builders would be headed by Aleksandr Kosovan, deputy head of Associated Board of Architecture, Construction, Development and Reconstruction of Moscow.

“Besides the architectural engineering, Moscow is to refer a humanitarian aid to South Ossetia: medical products and food. There are sanitation and water problems in that area, therefore Stanislav Khramenkov, head of Mosvodokanal state unitary enterprise, is to come to Tskhinvali,” Mr Tsoy said.

The head of Mosvodokanal will do the job necessary to help reinstating the water supply system in Tskhinvali as soon as possible.
