OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2008 was announced, that the complex of culture and business called House of Helsinki is to be raised in Moscow during 2008-2011.

“The complex of culture and business House of Helsinki is to be built on 4th Rostovsky Side-Street in the centre of the Russian capital,” a source from Moscow City Hall said. According to the source, the relevant order has been signed by Moscow City Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.

The total area of the complex will be around 9,000 sq m. A 0.22-ha site was placed at the LLC House of Helsinki's disposal on a long lease for 49 years. The company is to construct the pipelines and networks as well as the structures necessary for placing the object in operation and if it is necessary it will pay for linking to the distribution power grids of Moscow City Electric Grid Company at its own expense with no compensation.

The construction project of House of Helsinki is being implemented on an initiative by the Finnish building company Oy Hartela within the intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Finland.
