OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2008 was announced, that Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) grew 10.3% on the year in January-July 2008 to 74.517 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br), an official with Belarus’ Statistics Ministry told.

Industrial output in January-July amounted to 74.517 trillion rubles, showing a 13.1% increase on the year.

Farm output as of August 1, 2008 stood at 10.384 trillion rubles, up 4.4% on the year in the period.

In 2007, Belarus’ GDP grew 8.1% on the year to 96.048 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 91.504 trillion rubles, up 8.5% on the year. Farm output increased 4.1% to 17.932 trillion rubles.
