OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2008 was announced, that Belarus will be considering instruments to liberalize price formation procedures for products that are not socially significant, Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky told a conference that addressed taxation policies.

“We will consider some manufacturing products that are not dominating on the market and not socially important,” he said.

The premier also said the government would keep utility prices under strict control.

The chairman of the Business Union named after Kunyavski, Georgi Badei, said the obligatory procedure of price approval by the authorities hampered business development.
