OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 August 2008 was announced, that A 50-storey skyscraper is stipulated by the planning project to be raised in neighbourhood 34, a part of Yaroslavsky township in northeast Moscow.

“The total area of the high-rise complex will be 120,400 sq m. It will comprise 2 buildings divided by a pedestrian area and surrounded by a well-planned square. The first building will have 50-55 storeys, its facade will front onto Yaroslavskoe Highway. The second one will be much lower – its ultimate height won’t exceed 16 storeys,” a press service of the Department of Prospective Urban Development of Moscow said.

Besides apartments, the complex will comprise a kindergarten for 100 children, underground parking for 1,200 vehicles. In total, the planning project of neighbourhood 34 stipulates that 187,000 sq m of housing, a new school and a kindergarten will be constructed.

23 old houses with the total area of 56,000 sq m are stipulated by the planning project to be demolished. The neighbourhood is to undergo reconstruction at the expense of the city budget of Moscow.
