OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2008. Employees of Rosenergoatom Concern met in Moscow region on Aug 27 in order to discuss the work done to fulfill the Concern’s labor and social security agreement in 2007 and Jan-June 2008.

Representatives of the Central Office, all 10 nuclear power plants and NPP construction directorates of Rosenergoatom Concern as well as SOGAZ OJSC, Atomtrudresursy LLC and other nuclear companies took part in the conference.

While opening the meeting Director General of Rosenergoatom Concern Sergey Obozov told the conferees about the Concern’s performance in 2007 and Jan-June 2008. He said that in 2007 the NPPs produced 158.3bln KWh, in Jan-June 2008 – 82.1bln KWh. This year they are expected to break the record and to generate all-time high 161.4bln KWh. As regards the construction of new reactors, in 2008 the Concern will receive 4 times more money than in 2007. “We will receive a total of 65bln RUR,” Obozov said.

Sept 1–5 2008 Rosenergoatom Concern will be registered as an on joint stock company and in mid Sept it will conduct the first meeting of its shareholders. The shares of the Concern will be held by Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation. “The shares can be alienated only with the consent of the President,” Obozov said.

The conferees suggested that on Jan 1 2009 the employer set the 1st category tariff at 4,300 RUR at least thereby ensuring an at least 15% growth in the share of the salary fund in the electricity tariff and introduce a new remuneration system envisaging a raise in the wages of workers.

The conferees acknowledged that in 2007 and Jan-June 2008 the labor and social security agreement was fulfilled and decided to prolong it for one more year.
