OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 August 2008 was announced, that the first batch of new-crop wheat grain was received by the grain reception unit of Aleisk regional division of OJSC “Transagro Corporation”. This grain will be processed at Rebrikha flour mill. Soon, the first rail car of new-crop wheat will be prepared and sent to the enterprise.

Results of the laboratory testing show that the new-crop grain contains slightly less gluten than last-year’s wheat, which is to be expected, since weather conditions this year were much less favourable – hot dry summer without rain during the most important periods of growth and ripening of wheat. Consequently, by specialists’ estimates yield of this crop will be lower compared to the previous year.

Nevertheless, management of the Transagro division in Aleisk are certain that the enterprise will be fully supplied with food grain of good quality. This is ensured by preliminary agreements reached with many partners of the enterprise, both long-standing and new. Besides, this is up to financial terms of grain purchases that Transagro ALeisk division offers to its partners. They include full and timely payment for the products purchased, which is provided by the parent company. OJSC PAVA (of which Aleisk division of “Transagro Corporation” is a subsidiary) allocates large funds for purchasing of grain; moreover, reputation of a big and rapidly developing company allows to obtain vast credit resources to support acquisition of raw materials for its enterprises. OJSC PAVA is the largest grain processor in the Altay region, among the three leaders of the industry in Russia. Following the results of 2007 when PAVA shipped 17% of the total volume of exported flour to the countries of far and near abroad, Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade declared PAVA Best Exporter of the Industry.
