OREANDA-NEWS. According to the message Petropavlovsk is the seventh city after Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Taraz and Taldykorgan where NGN were constructed and put into operation. In general the NGN construction in Petropavlovsk Kazakhtelecom will invest till the end of 2009 over KZT1.184 m. of own resources.

"Unlike the traditional telecommunications network NGN operates on IP technology. Introduction of NGN allows modernizing and extension of local telecommunications network in more efficient and resources saving manner, and will significantly reduce costs for the trunk network development. Due to introduction of NGN, subscribers of the outdated analogue telephone stations will be transferred to the new platform, bypassing the use of digital automatic switching center that will give Kazakhtelecom the possibility to optimize costs for services provision and improve their quality.

"NGN requires less investment related to construction at the expense of utilization of the single IP transport network, used for provision of all types of services, including telephony, Internet access and video and using the new communication organization principle, allowing application of universal access gateways managed by program switchers. Instead of accepted in traditional telephone networks channel switchers, where connection between subscribers are formed by the principle "one network - one service", in NGN ensures the principle or organization of virtual connections through which services are provided to the end user in the IP network", - is said in the press release.
