OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2008. JSC EMAlliance and American company NOOTER/ERIKSEN, INC signed a License and Technology Transfer Agreement for heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) of   combined cycle power plants (CCPP).

EMAlliance is granted with the license to design, manufacture, sell, supply and install the heat recovery systems based on NOOTER/ERIKSEN technology.

“EMAlliance will produce HRSG based on western references and experience and adjusted according to Russian standards and regulations, which brings a great competitive advantage”, said Oleg Golikov, General Director of the holding company EMAlliance.

With HRSG, the efficiency of power unit achieves 60 % which is a sufficient increase compared with conventional steam power units. According to the RF general plan of power plant location before 2020,  power plants with HRSG over 70 GW capacity shall be installed.

“EMAlliance is going to cover a quarter of HRSG market in Russia. Each HRSG will have a dossier in compliance with  Rostechnadzor requirements. HRSG will be operated according  to standard procedures, western materials or personnel qualification under international standards will not be required, ”  said Oleg Golikov..

HRSGs will be manufactured at the Europe’s biggest boiler manufacturer TKZ Krasny Kotelschik (EMAlliance subsidiary). At present, Krasny Kotelschik completes the installation of finning machine required for HRSG production. Total RUB 200 mln has been allocated for the retrofit of Krasny Kotelschik in 2008.
