OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2008. Proton-M launcher / Glonass-M satellites prelaunch processing continue at Baikonur in line with the program for so-called Launch Day 3. The launcher was erected on launch pad N81 on Sept. 22.

Yesterday simulation of the filling procedure was run. Today expert groups perform mating of the filling pipe-lines with the rocket pipe-lines and carry out their leak-checks.

Propellant filling operation is to be done tomorrow. Three Glonass-M satellites are scheduled for launch at 12:49 p.m. Moscow time (8:49 a.m. UTC) on Sept. 25, 2008.

Glonass-M satellites were developed in Reshetnev Informational Satellite Systems company. They are intended to enlarge orbital constellation for Russian Global Navigation System (GLONASS).
