OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2008. Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee held at Gazprom’s Head Office a meeting related to planning, engineering and procurement issues during investment project implementation in 2008.

Present at the meeting were the following persons: Gazprom’s Management Committee Members – Yaroslav Golko, Head of the Investment and Construction Department and Igor Fyodorov, General Director, Gazkomplektimpex; managers and experts from Gazprom’s Administration relevant divisions, subsidiaries of Gazprom dobycha Urengoy, Gazprom dobycha Nadym, Gazprom invest Zapad, Yamalgazinvest, Gazpromstroyengineering, VNIPI gazdobycha, YUZHNIIGIPROGAZ, TyumenNIIgiprogaz, Giprogaztsentr and Giprospetsgaz.

The meeting participants considered the topical issues with regard to planning the implementation of investment projects in 2008, arranging for and performing the design and survey work, preparing project documentation, as well as procurement issues for facilities under construction.

Particularly, it was stressed that recently, along with the Company’s intensive development, the scope of work fulfilled by design institutes had increased two times versus 2004-2005 and would keep on growing. In this regard, an adequate development of industry institutes will foster timely implementation of Gazprom’s major strategic projects on the creation of new gas production centers on Yamal, offshore, in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, as well as on the gas transmission system development. Considerations were made over proposals on a development program for Gazprom’s design companies up to 2015, scheduled to be approved in the 4th quarter of 2008.

The meeting also stressed the relevance of developing a set of measures so as to further improve the process of planning the investment projects implementation and reducing the preparation and approval timing for design documentation. Besides, considerations were made over the development of uniform design concepts for standard projects.

Gazprom’s relevant divisions and affiliates were tasked accordingly as per the meeting results.
