OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2008. The President of the Bank of Moscow A.F.Borodin and the Governor of the Moscow region B.V.Gromov have signed an Agreement for Cooperation. Under this Agreement, the parties thereto shall join their efforts in facilitating the socio-economic development of the Moscow region. Among others, the Agreement provides for cooperation in the field of road and transport facilities, the military and defence complex, the fuel and power sector, the agricultural sector, the housing maintenance and utilities infrastructure etc.

Furthermore, the Bank of Moscow will become a partner of the Moscow region in resolving the matters related to the development of the region’s financial infrastructure, implementation of the region’s specific programmes and projects.

— "We have been enjoying cooperation with the government of the Moscow region for years, — says the President of the Bank of Moscow Andrei Borodin. — Starting from 2002 the Bank has annually participated in placement of the bonds issued by the Region the total stock of which now exceeds 50 billion rubles. The total volume of direct financing allocated to the Government of the Moscow region and its structures over the period of our cooperation has exceeded 8,5 billion rubles. This Agreement is called to strengthen our partnership with the Government of the Moscow region — we are interested in developing our cooperation along a wide range of issues".

— "This Agreement provides for implementation of a number of major projects aimed at comprehensive development of the Moscow region, — said the Governor of the Moscow region, Boris Gromov. — I want to emphasize the implementation of these projects will depend on no other but the Bank of Moscow — a major, reputable and trustworthy bank".
