OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2008. In January-September 2008, Vostochnaya Stevedore Company LLC (Global Ports Investments Ltd) handled 310,678 TEU (+13%, year-on-year), press center of VSC informs. In the reported period, transshipment of export containers amounted to 124,519 TEU (+22%, year-on-year), import containers – 178,638 TEU (+13%), coastal trade containers – 7,119 TEU (-35%, year-on-year), transit containers 402 TEU (– 85%, year-on-year).

In September, the company’s container throughput amounted to 34,019 TEU (+6%) including 15,013 TEU of export containers (+34%) and 18,232 TEU of import containers (-7%).

In September import accounted for 57%, export 40.1%, coastal trade containers – 2.9%, transit – 0.1%.

Vostochnaya Stevedore Company LLC is the largest container terminal in the Far East of Russia. It operates at Vostochny port. 25% of the company are owned by port operator DPW, 75% - Global Ports Group (part of N-Trans Group).
