OREANDA-NEWS  On 10 October was announced, that the RA Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan received Plamen Vatchkov, the Chairman of Bulgarian State Agency for Information Technology and Communications. Todor Staykov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Armenia and Hans Boon, the General Director of "Hay Post" CJSC were also present at the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Plamen Vatchkov thanked Mr. Nerses Yeritsyan for reception. He highly estimated the "Hay Post" operations within the territory of Armenia and informed that he visited two post offices in Yerevan, and assured that the success and progress of "Hay Post" CJSC in Armenia is the real achievement in the sphere of communication. Touching upon the Armenian-Bulgarian cooperation in this sphere, Plamen Vatchkov stressed the issuing of two new stamps: one in Bulgaria, the other - in Armenia.

Talking about the "Hay Post" CJSC, Nerses Yeritsyan also expressed satisfaction regarding active works of the national postal operator, and indicated the fact of establishment of large amount of post offices within the territory of RA (around 900). Mr. Minister also stressed the importance of high qualified postal services as a major factor for transactions, pension reform, electronic services and formation of electronic society.

During the meeting, both sides discussed and exchanged views about the development of IT, tourism, trade and other fields in Armenia and Bulgaria, and about possible cooperation in mentioned spheres. Mr. Boon noted, that to develop the Armenian-Bulgarian bilateral mutual advantageous cooperation it is necessary to be more active, for example, by organizing Business Forums - to promote trade and economic relations between the two countries.
