OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2008. The Coordinating Committee of Energoatom Concern and Electricite de France (EDF) met in France Oct 12–15 to discuss the joint programs of the two companies. The parties expressed satisfaction with the results of their cooperation. 

In 2008 the companies cooperated on operation, engineering, personnel, inspection, general problems, development.

A total of 18 meetings (seminars, working conferences, visits) took place during the year. The results of this cooperation will certainly help the companies in their work.

A seminar on engineering at EDF was held in the framework of the meeting. The Russian specialists visited the new unit of Flamanville Nuclear Power Plant (1,600MW) which is being built under European Reactor project.

The parties discussed their plan of action for 2009 and outlined their cooperation priorities.

The next meeting is to take place at Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant in May 2009.
